Directly : the young people of Mbuga and their families
Indirectly : de co-citizens of the hamlet of Mbuga
- Beginning of project & duration : May 2010 during 6 years
- Goals :
- General :
- To fight illiteracy
- To develop arts and craftsmanship
- To promote the protection of the environment
- To impart values and rules in general
Due to this project the young people will be able to:
- Fight against poverty
- Pay their health contribution
- Provide help to their family in order to break through the vicious circle of poverty
- Dispose of the necessary basic equipment
- Fight HIV/AIDS
- Choice of the project :
Because :
- In this region there is no training center for the young people
- Learning a profession is the fastest way of getting results
- In spite of the lack of jobs, the local youth is very keen to improve its conditions of life
- Motivation of the choice of the project :
- Illiteracy
Because of the extreme poverty many youngsters abandon early school, most of them even never attend school
- Poverty
Because of the extreme poverty many youngsters living in the streets tend to indulge in drugs, banditry and sexual excesses ...
- Protection of the environment
Because of the extreme poverty many youngsters ted to destroy the environment by stealing dry wood and charcoal that they sell

Follow-up of the project 2012
Visit of the project 15.01.2012
Sunday 15. 01.2012. We are guests at ‘ mother of the poor ’ in Kitabi.
It is a newly launched project and we are surprised, once again, by the enthusiasm and the many that can be done with limited resources. At noon we eat with the sisters who are trying to do the maximum … they sing and dance with us … Anne also plays for them … together, we are strong!!
Singing children, a sewing workshop , a vegetable garden, a few cows, …. but in the same time many questions for further aid: this is an extremely poor region ….
We meet a large number of disabled people for which there are no facilities. They have come to meet us in the hope that we can do something for them.
There is a monthly doctor, a day in the ' centre de santé ' …
Help is needed ... And again a lot!!
We are powerless ...
But, here too, we seek means to do something!!!
It may not be that in 2012 people have to live this way!!
